Texas SB2872 amends the Utilities Code to establish rules for connection reservation contracts. These contracts, between an individual and a municipality or special utility district, must specify an expiration date. The term of such a connection cannot exceed 10 years from the reservation date. Municipalities or special utility districts must notify the individual party to the contract at least 30 days before the connection's expiration.
