This bill amends the Civil Practice and Remedies Code to limit the liability of contractors who design, install, construct, or maintain highways, roads, streets, or public safety devices for the Texas Department of Transportation or government entities. Contractors are exempt from liability for personal injury, property damage, or death if they were in compliance with contract documents at the time of the incident. The changes take effect September 1, 2025.
