Texas SB2815 amends the Education Code to require institutions of higher education to offer students enrolled at the time of a merger or name change the option to receive a diploma with either the new institution name or the former institution name. The changes apply starting with the 2025-2026 academic year and the act takes effect September 1, 2025.
