Texas SB2710 amends the definition of "authorized emergency vehicle" in the Transportation Code to include the privately owned vehicles of district attorneys, criminal district attorneys, county attorneys, or prosecutors employed by the attorney general's office. This change allows these vehicles to be recognized as authorized emergency vehicles when responding to emergencies. The bill takes effect September 1, 2025.
