Texas SB2657 amends the Utilities Code to require lease agreements for wind and solar power facilities to include provisions for recycling or disposing of components. The grantee must collect and reuse or recycle components that are practicably capable of being reused or recycled. For components not practicably capable of being reused or recycled, the grantee must dispose of them at appropriate facilities. The grantee must also provide financial assurance to cover the estimated removal, recycling, and disposal costs.
