Texas SB2563 amends the Human Resources Code to modify record-keeping for violations against child-care facilities.
Texas SB2563 amends the Human Resources Code to change how records of violations against child-care facilities are handled. If an administrative law judge or a judge finds that a violation did not occur, the commission must remove the record of the violation from the facility's licensing file. If the violation is a critical health and safety violation, the record remains until an administrative law judge finds the violation occurred. The decision of an administrative law judge finding a violation must include detailed reasoning. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
