Allows junior college district boards to require a plurality vote for trustee elections.
Texas SB2504 amends the Education Code to allow boards of trustees for junior college districts to decide, by resolution, that a candidate must receive a plurality of the votes cast to be elected. This change can be made up to 180 days before an election and remains in effect until rescinded by another resolution. The act takes effect September 1, 2025.
