Texas SB2437 amends notice requirements for selling property to enforce a self-service storage facility lien.
Texas SB2437 modifies the Property Code to change how lessors must advertise the sale of property to enforce a self-service storage facility lien. Lessors must either publish the notice in a newspaper of general circulation in the county or on a publicly accessible Internet website that regularly advertises or conducts auctions of personal property. If no newspaper is available, the lessor may post the notice at the facility and five other conspicuous locations. The notice must reach at least three independent bidders to be considered commercially reasonable.
