Texas SB2126 amends Section 545.157 of the Transportation Code to specify the types of vehicles that drivers must not pass. This includes stationary authorized emergency vehicles, stationary tow trucks, Texas Department of Transportation vehicles, service vehicles used by utilities, vehicles transporting municipal solid waste or recyclable materials, vehicles operated by toll project entities, and vehicles stopped on the shoulder or adjacent to the highway using hazard lamps. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
