Texas SB2082 amends the Health and Safety Code to require the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to prohibit the operation of concrete crushing facilities within 440 yards of buildings used as single or multifamily residences, schools, hospitals, or places of worship. The prohibition does not apply to facilities authorized before September 1, 2001, or those that meet distance requirements at the time of initial permit application.
