Texas SB2068 amends the Tax Code to ensure that personal information provided in property tax exemption applications, such as a child's driver's license number, social security number, name, age, home address, or home telephone number, remains confidential and not open to public inspection. This information can only be disclosed to employees or agents of the appraisal district who are involved in appraising property or performing appraisal services, except as authorized by Subsection (b). The changes take effect on September 1, 2025.
