Texas SB1895 designates a portion of State Highway Loop 88 in Lubbock County as the First Responders Memorial Loop.

Texas SB1895 amends the Transportation Code to designate a portion of State Highway Loop 88 under construction as of September 1, 2025, as a relief route around Lubbock, in Lubbock County, as the First Responders Memorial Loop. This designation is in addition to any other designation. The Texas Department of Transportation is required to design and construct markers indicating this designation and erect them at appropriate sites along the loop. The intent of the 89th Legislature is to honor first responders through this memorial. The act takes effect on September 1, 2025.
