SB1818 amends the Texas Occupations Code to allow state agencies to issue provisional licenses to military service members, military veterans, and military spouses while they process the applicants' license applications. These provisional licenses expire either when the agency approves or denies the application or 180 days after issuance, whichever comes first. State agencies must adopt rules to implement these changes by December 1, 2025. The act takes effect September 1, 2025.
