The bill mandates the Texas comptroller to annually report on veteran employment and veteran-owned businesses. The report must measure the impact of veteran-owned businesses on the state's gross domestic product and estimate the number of employed and unemployed veterans, as well as the number of veteran-owned businesses. The report is due by December 31 each year. The act takes effect September 1, 2025.
