Texas SB1759 amends the Natural Resources Code to establish procedures for declaring an oil or gas emergency by the Railroad Commission of Texas. The commission can declare an emergency related to the production, storage, or transportation of oil or gas, including uncontrolled releases. A proclamation must describe the nature of the emergency and designate the affected area. Such a proclamation cannot last more than 30 days without renewal.
