Effective January 1, 2026, the minimum coverage amounts are set at $50,000 for bodily injury or death of one person, $100,000 for bodily injury or death of two or more persons, and $40,000 for damage to or destruction of property. The changes apply to insurance policies delivered, issued for delivery, or renewed on or after January 1, 2026. Policies issued before this date remain governed by previous laws. The act takes effect September 1, 2025.
