Limits superintendent and CEO salaries in Texas school districts and charter schools to twice the highest teacher salary.
This bill amends the Texas Education Code to limit the annual salary of superintendents and chief executive officers in school districts and open-enrollment charter schools to no more than twice the highest annual salary paid to a classroom teacher in the district. It also requires these schools to post the salary of their superintendent or chief executive officer on their website. The changes apply to employment contracts entered into on or after September 1, 2025, while existing contracts remain governed by previous laws.
