The bill designates the Farm-to-Market Road 852 bridge crossing Lake Gilmer in Upshur County as the Petty Officer Billy Machen Bridge. This designation is in addition to any other existing designation. The Texas Department of Transportation is required to design and construct markers indicating this designation and erect a marker at each end of the bridge. The act takes effect September 1, 2025.
