Texas SB1418 amends the Education Code to redefine terminology for certain assessment instruments in public schools.
Texas SB1418 amends the Education Code to redefine terminology for certain assessment instruments administered to public school students. It specifies that satisfactory performance on an advanced placement test, an international baccalaureate examination, an SAT Subject Test, the PSAT, the PreACT, the SAT, the ACT, or any nationally recognized norm-referenced assessment instrument can satisfy the requirements for an end-of-course assessment instrument. Students who do not perform satisfactorily on the PSAT or PreACT must take the appropriate end-of-course assessment instrument.
