Texas SB1358 amends the Health and Safety Code to prohibit local governments from requiring food service establishments to obtain sound regulation permits, charge fees, or face prohibitions on sound-related activities for deliveries of food, nonalcoholic beverages, food service supplies, or ice between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. The bill stipulates that the sound level from these deliveries must not exceed 75 dBA when measured from the closest residential property, excluding traffic and other background noise. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
