Texas SB1113 amends the Occupations Code to exempt holders of a converter's license from needing additional licenses or general distinguishing numbers when selling to retail purchasers. This applies to new motor vehicles converted by the license holder, provided the vehicle manufacturer transferred the chassis and the manufacturer's statement of origin to the person. It also applies to trailers or semitrailers manufactured by the license holder. The Act takes effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote in both houses, otherwise it takes effect September 1, 2025.
