The Dentist and Dental Hygienist Compact enables licensed Dentists and Dental Hygienists to practice in other participating states without additional licensure requirements. It promotes mobility and addresses workforce shortages. The Compact requires participating states to share licensure and disciplinary information, and allows remote states to enforce their own regulations on licensees. Active military members and their spouses may be exempt from fees. The Compact Commission oversees the agreement, maintains a database, and can enforce compliance.
