Texas SB1104 amends the Transportation Code to require fingerprinting for dealers applying for a general distinguishing number if they operate 10 or more locations within 100 miles of the fingerprinted manager's or employee's regular place of work. The fingerprinting requirement applies only if the department mandates it for each location. A complete set of fingerprints from one manager or employee satisfies the requirement for all locations. This act takes effect September 1, 2025.
