Texas SB1080 amends the Occupations Code to allow licensing authorities to issue either a full occupational license or a provisional license valid for six months to applicants with criminal convictions. The act takes effect immediately if approved by two-thirds of the members in both houses, otherwise it will take effect on September 1, 2025.
