Texas SB1066 amends the Parks and Wildlife Code to require contractors to provide performance and payment bonds for public work contracts exceeding $150,000. This requirement applies to contracts for which the Parks and Wildlife Department first advertises or requests bids, proposals, or qualifications on or after the effective date of the Act. Contracts solicited before the effective date remain governed by existing law. The Act takes effect on September 1, 2025.
