SB1046 amends the composition of the Health and Human Services Commission Executive Council in Texas.

SB1046 amends the Texas Government Code to redefine the composition of the Health and Human Services Commission Executive Council, effective April 1, 2025. The council will now include the executive commissioner, the director of each division established by the executive commissioner, the commissioner of a health and human services agency, the commissioner of the Department of Family and Protective Services, and at least one parent or guardian of a child with a disability who is a Medicaid recipient. The executive commissioner will also appoint additional members as necessary.
