SB104 ensures paper ballots are available for voters in Texas who request them.
SB104 amends the Texas Election Code to require election authorities to provide a number of paper ballots for each precinct. The number of ballots must be at least the percentage of voters who voted in the most recent corresponding election plus 25 percent of that number, but cannot exceed the total number of registered voters in the precinct. If the number of ballots provided is less than the total number of registered voters, the means to print additional paper ballots must be available at each polling place.
