This bill amends the Agriculture Code to allow individuals to bring an action against a political subdivision for enforcing governmental requirements that violate the chapter. Successful plaintiffs can obtain declaratory or injunctive relief and recover court costs and reasonable attorney's fees. The provisions apply to causes of action that accrue after the bill's effective date. The bill takes effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote in both houses, otherwise it takes effect September 1, 2025.
