SB1017 amends the Education Code to authorize the board of regents of The University of Texas System to issue bonds for the construction of a student success building at The University of Texas at El Paso. The bonds can be used for acquiring, purchasing, constructing, improving, renovating, enlarging, or equipping property and facilities, including roads and related infrastructure. The total principal amount of the bonds cannot exceed $100 million. The board may pledge revenue funds, including student tuition charges, to the payment of the bonds.
