He cofounded Mission Auto Electric, which later became MAE Power Equipment. Cavazos was active in the Mission Kiwanis Club, Mission Jaycees, and the Mission hospital board. He also contributed to the Mission Chamber of Commerce and the Citrus Cavaliers. Cavazos received numerous accolades, including City of Mission Man of the Year and Business Leader of the Year.
