The House of Representatives of the 89th Texas Legislature honors the memory of Erma Adeyemo, who passed away on March 31, 2025, at age 63. Affectionately known as "Mama Erma," she served as a special education teacher in the Arlington Independent School District for over two decades and assisted with the district's food program during summers. After retiring, she worked with cancer patients undergoing therapy at Texas Oncology. A devout member of Word of Peace International Ministry Church, she contributed to the choir, altar ministry, hospitality team, and food pantry.
