Texas House of Representatives congratulates the City of McKinney on receiving six Transparency Stars from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.
The City of McKinney has been recognized for its exemplary efforts in financial transparency by earning six Transparency Stars from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. Established in 2016, the Transparency Stars program highlights local government entities that provide easy access to financial data. McKinney was the first city to earn stars in the five initial areas: traditional finances, contracts and procurement, economic development, public pensions, and debt obligations. In 2024, the program added a sixth star for open government and compliance, which McKinney also earned.
