Texas House of Representatives congratulates Diana Lerma on her induction into the Rio Grande Valley Sports Hall of Fame.

Diana Lerma, a standout volleyball player and coach, is being inducted into the Rio Grande Valley Sports Hall of Fame. The hall of fame, established in 1988, honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the community through sports. Lerma, a Mission native, excelled in volleyball at Mission High School, Laredo Junior College, and Southwest Texas State University. She began her coaching career at La Joya High School and later launched the volleyball program at Veterans Memorial High, achieving over 800 wins and numerous championships.
