Caleb Gomez of Scouts BSA Troop No. 128 in Buda has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, a significant honor in the scouting movement. He completed the demanding criteria, earning 21 merit badges and refurbishing the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8925 hall in Austin. Gomez, a senior at Johnson High School in Buda, plans to study premedicine at the University of Houston College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. He also won a gold medal in the Texas High School Powerlifting Association's regional competition. The House of Representatives congratulates Gomez and wishes him continued success.
