She was the founding first lady of the church, director of its children, youth, and young adult ministry, and active in the Dallas Regional District Association. She also served as president of the Metropolitan Ministers' Wives and was a licensed cosmetologist and wholesale buyer. She is remembered for her commitment to her family, church, and community.
