The Texas House of Representatives congratulates the Fort Worth band Latin Express on its 50th anniversary in 2025. Founded in 1975 by Carlos Saenz, Latin Express has been led by Saenz, a multi-instrumentalist who began his career at age 12. The band has gained recognition through performances, including at an inaugural ball in Washington, D.C., and has been inducted into the Tejano Roots Hall of Fame. Saenz has also taught music and served on the Community Development Council of Fort Worth.
