The Texas House of Representatives pays tribute to David Homer Guerra, a McAllen resident who passed away on August 17, 2025. Guerra, born in Laredo in 1944, was a graduate of Rio Grande City High School and St. Mary's University School of Law. He was a devoted family man, husband to Rosa Maria, and father to four children and grandfather to seven grandchildren. Guerra was also a dedicated parishioner and community servant, serving as a Eucharistic minister, lector, and usher at Saint Paul Catholic Church and Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
