Texas House of Representatives congratulates the UT Austin speech team for winning the 2025 American Forensic Association National Speech Tournament.

The University of Texas at Austin speech team, housed in the Department of Communication Studies within the Moody College of Communication, won the national championship at the 2025 American Forensic Association National Speech Tournament. The team, which also serves as the organizing point for the historical records and forensic history of the Texas Forensic Union, collected its fourth consecutive national championship and the 11th in program history. Members brought home 11 national finalist trophies in various events, with Ishika Bhasin named the national champion in impromptu speaking.
