Denise Elaine Marshall, born in Ohio in 1961, was a Cedar Park resident who worked as an x-ray technician and mammographer for over 30 years. Diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer in 2014, she defied a less than 10 percent survival chance, living another decade while advocating for lung cancer awareness, research, and screening. Despite spending 10 months in hospice care in 2016, she remained positive and fulfilled, finding joy in gardening, crocheting, and raising her daughter, Corrine, who graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2024.
