The Texas House of Representatives congratulates Major Christopher J. Foote of Georgetown on his retirement from the U.S. Marine Corps. Major Foote, a 2005 U.S. Naval Academy graduate, served over two decades, including deployments in Afghanistan, Iraq, and global counterterrorism efforts. His skill and leadership led to selection for the Weapons and Tactics Instructor course, and he most recently served with the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory. Foote will continue his career as a medevac and search and rescue helicopter pilot with the Maryland Department of State Police Aviation Command.
