Texas House of Representatives honors Gulf Coast Tennis Association for contributions during National Tennis Month 2025.

The Texas House of Representatives honors the Gulf Coast Tennis Association (GCTA) for its contributions to promoting tennis in Brazoria and Matagorda Counties and other areas along the Texas Gulf Coast south of Houston. GCTA, founded in 2016 by Don Cudd and Joan Houken, is an all-volunteer nonprofit community association affiliated with the United States Tennis Association Texas. The organization offers programs and events including free tennis lessons, team tennis, doubles leagues, tournaments, the Ace It summer camp for youth, and Alley Cats Red Ball for adults new to the game.
