Texas HCR149 honors the memory of U.S. Navy SEAL Nathan Gage Ingram, who made the ultimate sacrifice during a hazardous nighttime operation off the coast of Somalia. Ingram, a Texan and graduate of Byron Nelson High School and Texas Tech University, enlisted in the United States Navy in 2019 and became a member of SEAL Team 3. During a mission to intercept a cargo ship carrying Iranian missile components bound for Houthi militants in Yemen, Ingram attempted to rescue a fallen teammate but was lost at sea.
