The presiding officers will jointly review budgets, staffing, and funding for these committees. Joint committees can create subcommittees and advisory panels with approval. They can issue process with a two-thirds vote. The Texas Legislative Council will administer funds and reimburse travel expenses. The committees will expire by January 12, 2027, or an earlier date specified in the proclamation creating the committee.
