Assigns a Texas Legislative Act number to each bill passed by the legislature starting from the 90th Regular Legislative Session.

Beginning in the 90th Regular Legislative Session, this bill mandates that after a bill has passed both houses of the Texas legislature, the clerk of the house or secretary of the senate will enroll the bill and assign a Texas Legislative Act number. The enrolled bill must include the Texas Legislative Act number on its face and exclude the originating house's bill number. Future references to the enrolled bill in the journals of each house and in messages to the other house and the governor will use only the Texas Legislative Act number.
