Exempts health care providers from certain reporting requirements when reviewing cases for the Texas Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Review.
This bill amends the Health and Safety Code to exempt health care providers, including nurses, from professional reporting requirements when they learn of conduct related to their profession during the review of information relevant to a case selected for review by the Texas Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Review Committee. The bill takes effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote in both houses, otherwise it takes effect September 1, 2025.
