Waivers for state park entrance fees and hunting and fishing license fees for certain resident first responders.
This bill amends the Parks and Wildlife Code to waive state park entrance fees and hunting and fishing license fees for certain resident first responders. Specifically, it waives fees for residents who are first responders and have completed at least 20 years of continuous service or have a disability connected to their service with a loss of the use of a lower extremity or a disability rating of 50 percent or more. The bill also waives fees for qualified veterans with disabilities and residents on active duty in the military or Texas National Guard.
