HB679 amends the Alcoholic Beverage Code to allow local option elections to decide on Sunday sales of liquor for off-premise consumption. If approved, package store permit holders can sell liquor from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., wholesaler's permit holders can sell to retailers at any time, and local distributor's permit holders can sell to retailers from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Election Code is also amended to include a ballot issue for this election. The changes take effect September 1, 2025.
