The commission has the power to make purchases and contracts, employ officers and agents, and issue bonds. The Port of Sabine Pass may use port property for job creation, economic development, industry, commerce, manufacturing, housing, recreation, and infrastructure. The Port of Sabine Pass may also exercise the power of eminent domain. The Port of Sabine Pass may issue bonds for any corporate purpose.
