Exempts small-scale food businesses from certain permit requirements.

This bill amends the Health and Safety Code to exempt small-scale food businesses from certain permit requirements. A small-scale business is defined as a legal entity established by a farmer or food producer with less than $1.5 million in annual gross revenue. The bill prohibits the department, a county, or a public health district from requiring these businesses to obtain more than one permit for temporary food service establishments or any permit for food service establishments, temporary food service establishments, or retail food stores if they are licensed as food manufacturers.
