Texas HB5346 amends the Transportation Code to allow toll project entities to cease tolls when the costs of acquisition and construction are paid and all bonds and interest are settled. Toll projects become part of the state highway system without tolls. Toll project entities can extend toll cessation dates by five years if approved by a majority vote at an election. The Texas Department of Transportation must request an election for toll extension at least nine months before the toll cessation date.
